Queen’s Park is a part of northwest London, located in the area across the London Borough of Brent and the City of Westminster. The neighborhood also lies between Kensal Green and Kilburn, developing from 1875 later down the line. The open space to the North and the area itself carries the name Queen’s Park in honour of Queen Victoria. The north areas of Queen’s Park happen to be part of the parish of what were once Willesden and the southern area of the parish of Chelsea. During 1855 the vestry of the Chelsea parish was incorporated as a part of the local council in the metropolitan area of London under the governance of the Metropolitan Board of Works. Willesden parish formed a local government district in 1874. Back in 1889 the area of the Metropolitan Board of Works included the southern area of Queen’s Park and transferred from the Middlesex area to the County of London. In 1900 the area was untied under the parish of Paddington. In 1965 both of the areas of Queen’s Park became a part of the Greater London area with the northern sections of it forming Brent and the southern section becoming a part of Westminster.
